Risers and side finishing
With a closed staircase, you can choose to renovate the risers as well. This provides a complete and sleek result. You can use the same color as the treads, or juist opt for contrast.
The sides of the stairs, the so-called stair stringers, can also be included. When these are in poor condition or discolored, it is often wise to have them finished at the same time.
Staircase lighting
Stair lighting is becoming increasingly popular and affects the cost of a staircase renovation. Think of LED lighting under each step or subtle spotlights in the side of the stairs.
